Fixed-page thinking is the quiet assumption behind most merge tools: the document has the pages it has, and your data had better fit. When it doesn’t, text vanishes into overset – and you find out after printing, if you find out at all.
The Pagination Module lets the document size itself. As records fill pages, DataMergeStudio adds new ones automatically – each inheriting your master spread, or switching to a different master where your setup calls for it. Two hundred records don’t need two hundred manually prepared pages; they need one well-built layout and data.
And for the records that still don’t fit their frames, there’s the Overset Report: after every run, a dedicated list of exactly which records overflowed. Jump to each one, widen the frame, shorten the value, or set a truncation – the goal is an empty report, and an empty report means nothing was lost between screen and print.
