The AI node brings generative AI into your merge. It can write, rewrite, translate, or summarise text for each record, as a step in the graph.
Give the AI node some input from your data and a user prompt (your instruction), and it returns AI-generated text for that record – a translated description, a short summary, a tidied-up sentence, a tone adjustment. Because it sits in the graph like any other node, its output flows onward to the central node and into your layout.
Like everything in the editor, the AI node runs for every record. Five hundred product descriptions can become five hundred translations or summaries in a single merge, without you touching each one.
You provide the AI in one of two ways:
Either way the node behaves the same in your graph; the difference is who supplies the model. Which plans include each is shown at datamergestudio.com#pricing.
Generated text varies, so treat the AI node like a capable assistant, not an oracle: give clear instructions, and review the output – especially for anything customer-facing – before you ship a run of hundreds.
